Got Connections?

Here we are again, after three weeks of rain, thunderstorms, and internet non-connectivity. "100.0 Mbps," the little computer icon on my taskbar says, cheerily blind to the the perennial "Cannot find server" message morosely splattered across the browser window. Good job, Brownie.

It could give one an ulcer.

My cousin, the one with the lovely little tots, turned 35 today. The last time I saw them, my nieces were 10 and 6, and tres adorable (in small doses, haha). They helped me cream the butter and knead the dough for checkerboard cookies, and when they started to say, "Can we make one LAAAAARGE cookie? Or a LOOOOOONG one like a python? Can we eat the cookie dough? Can we add LOTS and LOTS of sugar? Can we..." I packed them off to watch cartoons.

We also baked an eggless quiche. (Quoi!?)

Note aforementioned quiche on lower left-hand corner. Mmm.

These two are the babies of the family, and likely to retain that spot for some time (given that I have no intention of unleashing my spawn upon the world, and the next in line is my brother, still in varsity). Where they live, they get to see their grandparents fairly often, but my siblings only see them a couple of times a year. Given my job (and perpetual penury) I get to visit about once every few years.

But as they say, absence makes the grass grow longer.
